I have been fans of these guys for years, so having them approach me for a collab is definitely a career highlight. This was such an awesome experience, from learning this rad groove and getting to record it, seeing this whole song come together, right down to getting to know the guys better to the point of being able to call them my friends.

You DEFINITELY know who they are, if not.. I'd love to melt your face by giving you this link:

Enjoy.

I have been on YouTube long enough to know that many comments will negatively mention that this isn't just a drum cover, that the drumming isn't impressive enough, that I look like a convict with shorter hair.. but I've learnt that what is true is relevant, and what is speculated is not :) I'll always keep doing drum covers, some will be over the top, fun and entertaining.. and some will be more held back and expressive. I'm growing up, so is my musical approach, and so is my need to be less self-indulgent and more creatively expressive. Collaborations fit that mold perfectly, I want to do more.. I want to create more. I understand many people won't understand that, but I'm sure most will, and either way.. it's totally ok. Nobody's opinion (good or bad!) can or should ever determine what is expressed and what is created and what is art. Thank you guys for making all of this possible!

  • Who cares if it's a woodblock, a gock block, a rock block, or whatever. This is an awesome collaboration, so shut up and enjoy it for fuck sake.

  • @Faltron533

Learn some grammar before you insult spelling, you fucking idiot.

  • My Idol ^^

  • @DrawnUnderBand *genius......L2 spell

  • @druMax123 I'm just saying that when I see someone that is awesome (like Cobus) I don't think of comparing them to a tennis player. Honestly, I did not even know who Roger Federer was until I saw the comment and Googled him, because I'm not really a tennis person and he's not super famous.

  • just listening to cobus drumming and thinking .. "can it get more awesome than this" .. and after that i come up with this.. :))

  • @Faltron533 hes comparing there genious, come on its just common sense

  • @Faltron533 sorry if my english isn´t that well in the next few sentences, it´s not my first language.

in my opinion they have the fact in common, that both are really inspirational for the people who are watching them.

also i compare their talent, to be that great in the stuff they´re doing

  • @jojomize i think it's more of a metaphor

  • @Faltron533

I don't think he's comparing Cobus to Federer as individuals, but he's using an analogy showing that each are the very good at what they do.

  • @druMax123 just curious, why would you see one of the best drummers ever and compare him to an awesome tennis player? i'm not trying to be mean, i just wanted to know (other than they're both awesome) what does a drummer have in common with a tennis player? (if i sound like a douche, i apologize. this is genuine question of curiosity)
