Ares deserved better than that. Bendis promised that we will see Ares being the God of War, but only seen him putting his teammates in check, but get his ass kicked whenever. You should pick Dark Avengers: Ares series, because it is good. There were better series that depicted Ares better.Disregard my first statement, it was stupidly written. You're right, the story needed a bit more background information, because she existed since 52, and there were apparently significant character growths.

I thought it was bad ass. I think it hits a certain truth though. In life everybody deserves a better death. They hardly get it though. Although, I think Bendis did a great job with the God of War. It's because of him the character became so popular in the first place. Uh-Oh... I smell a debate. Go easy, I've been gone for a while.

I can see your origin story complaint, but the character did exist since 52, and there were significant character growths before the series. stopped at Season 3, but I will pick it up later. I did not like how Ares was killed; I did not like it at all! it was a superfluous death. Honestly, I think the purpose behind that death because Bendis does not know how to write Ares. I completely agree on how Siege will end; because your predictions are reasonable and will make everyone happy.

Ares should have had a more paramount role on the Avengers. Essentially, Ares' role became a joke over time; he became a spoiled brat, and mortals were outclassing him on war tactics? Other writers do him justice, but, you are right, he could come back in the end. I am excited to see Phobos' reaction to it.

I agree with you and HelloInternet. Ares was shit before Mighty Avengers, and I am glad that Bendis is bringing back obscure characters, e.g., Dr. Voodoo. I guess I do not have a problem of how the fight went down--Gods are suppose to have their romanticized final death-match. I mainly have a problem with Ares' depiction, and his role in the book. Ares on the team was not actual the God of War, but a mindless brute, with bad ideas, who get his ass kicked supremely bad. look below.

I agree Senor Geek. No one gave a shit about Ares before Bendis, so it's cool that Bendis got to kill him of in a spectacular fashion.

He is a God and all though, so I wonder how long it will be before his corpse is reanimated. I'm also totally looking forward to seeing what happens with Phobos. I predict he will go insane and be a mega bad guy.

It totally has to be Spidey. The holy trio can take down Osborne, but Spidey has to take the final shot with everyone watching, just like Osborne did at the end of Secret Invasion. It will be sweet. I can't fukking wait!
