  • They are Yamabushi - Shugendo Shingon which is Tantric Buddhism

  • If I am not mistaken, these are Shugenjyas. The mountain monks. You can tell from how they dress. So not an official Shinto ceremony. And I think they were doing a ritual to YAKUYOKE. Can you double check your sources plz. Ty
