This is an instructional video that is the first in a series of videos on the Roland VS1880 digital recorder. I'm starting this series to help my brother quickly figure out the functions of the VS1880. We are starting with setting the VS1880 for recording. There is a continuation of this video call "Digital Recording 1-2" that is the actual recording and how to undo a bad recording.

  • Hello! in this session of how to use your roland digital recorder,i'm gonna show you how to download kiddieporn, can you all say kiddieporn?........thats good class.

You should really not show yourself in the video, and maybe try getting hooked on phonics prior to your next vid.........maybe start with a speak-N-spell first

  • @dalushenal, You should find someone that cares about what you say.

  • so whats that whole thing about not recording onto 17/18? im thinking about getting one of these , can i truly mix 9 stereo tracks or 18 monos? at one time

  • @bonusbmusic So 17 & 18 are mix down tracks. When you use the mastering room the default is to mix down on 17 & 18 vTrack 15 or something like that. You can have multiple mix downs by switching you vTracks in the mastering room (CD-RW then F1). You can record on 17 & 18 vTrack 1, but you can not include them in the mix down.

  • a question i got instrumentals on my computer how do i transfer them to the roland vs 1880??

  • @BASHINGTHEWORLD Do you have a sound card on your computer that has RCA output. If so get an RCA to Standard 1/4" jack and connect them to input channel 3 and 4. Make sure that you also hook up the computer and the VS1880 by MIDI so that you can keep the timing right. If you want to separate tracks this will be important as you will have to play them one by one.

  • I have a Roland VS-1880 that i'll like to sell, i have all the wires and everything, how much can i sell it for?

  • Great! one question, If I wanted to use the roland 1880 just as a mixer and connect it through my PC, what soundcard will be the very best to use so that i wont distort any sound?
