of corse it´s John Sykes , how many times do i have to say that the only thing Vandenberg plays on 1987 album is the "here i go again" solo ?
DC had surgery to his vocal chords in 85/86 while writing what would be the 1987 album , he was 6 months without singing they thought we would never sing again.Sykes having written the songs with him wanted to record the songs with another singer , when DC got better he fired Sykes and the rest of the band for that.

sykes used the black custom, the red stratocaster and a randy rhoads flying v on these sessions

@ibanez777vbk It's on 1987/Slip Of The Tongue cd with bonus tracks. I think it's on one or more of the greatest hits cd's too. I first heard it as a bonus track on a Whitesnake cassette single for the 1987 album.

@futarydary Nope. It's Sykes all the way!

@timothyjification Exactly right.

@timothyjification yep, sorry my bad that's true

@futarydary Almost certain it's John Sykes. Adrian didn't do anything beyond the solo to "Here I Go Again" during this time period.

The original version is on the album Slide it in released in 1984...

A canção é linda, porém prefiro a versão do Slide it in.
This is the Whitesnake I prefer, by far! John Sykes is the best thing that ever happened to Coverdale!

Like this version. More Melodic., and definately has the flavour of 1987....
