Notes:

First Ever Performance of Whole Lotta Love!

i was there-the opening band was Wolfgang-then Isaac Hayes-roland kirk did not play-wolfgang was just what they were-an opening band-butIsaac hayes was smokin-played a great set-Walk on by in particicular and hypercalifracilistic or some crazy song that really built momentum-When zep opened up with good times bad times it was one of the few times that bill grahm didnt intro the act-the band just started playing-even tho my memory is kinda hazy-i belive each band played 2 sets?? can anybody confirm-definitely too much psychedelics that night-i squeezed into the crowd and got right between plant and page about 40 feet from the stage and will never forget plant going to the amps and shakin his hair about and reaching for the controls as if he needed to turn it UP! I could not hear the next day -still remember the visuals-plant open shirt-page with velvet pants and ruffled shirt-john playin moby dick with his hands

A very intense and great show. The opening number is brutal in impact and Zeppelin takes the audience all over the spectrum, from, the great jamming of Dazed And Confused and the gentleness of White Summer/Black Mountain Side, through an awesome How Many More Times medley and two punked-up encores. The "nastiness" of the recording helps emphasize the intense atmosphere and savage beauty of Robert's voice.

  • 1969 Ottimo anno per nobs. Vorrei sentire Good Times Bad Times intero, ma seguito da Comm Brdwn e' simpatico, con degli sbagli rifreschanti.

    2 years gone!

  • Did you record Wolfgang's set?

  • @JGZerbe exactly my point. He got his les paul in April. And this concert is in November. The telecaster made its last live appearance in May. so this is for sure his les paul

  • @llZosoll He is playing a telecaster here he only got his les paul in april of 69'

  • Ah, is not the same. Thanx for my correcting.

The other Jimi plays the strat. what am I thinking. But the music gets the blood to boil and the reason to recede in myself. peace, brother.

  • Exceptional. Excellent song. Is this not the same as the Blueberry Hill bootleg?

Thanks for posting this lovely and soothing mantra. JamesPat sounds like he's gotten by the neck that Strat. (Italian syntax)

Assume Strat for that time and based on sound.
