Let me try to clarify this for you guys. I'm russian who did both sambo and judo as well as freestyle at begginers level. Mr. Beloglazov executes a throw which is called "obviv" (grapevine throw). By NO means it is a rip or a trip... It's quite a common throw for russians and athletes from former soviet republics. It's an arch throw with leg tanglement. Done fairly safe by Mr. Beloglazov since he untangles leg in the end hence minimizing knee injury for the opponent. hope that helps
@noose357 ive a black belt in kodokan judo but havent trained in a decade,I know exactly what judo and jujitsu is about and wrestling in all its forms. The ju in judo actually refers to maximum effect ,minimum effort or the yielding to and redirection of pressure. There are no back arch throws in judo apart from uranage.some sambo techs infiltrated competitive judo in the 60s but they were never in judos syllabus.
@scarred10 You obviously don't much about Judo. Judo in it's true form is a flexible form of Jujitsu. Judo actually translates to "the flexible way" and not the gentle way as some mistakenly believe. The flexibility refers to the multidirectional ways that techniques can be executed, grips, among many other things. Therefore, you are very incorrect and I suggest that you study japanese history and Jujitsu to understand the backround if you want to make any real call about Judo and its techniques.
@scarred10 The entwining leg while very similar to ouchi is also the same leg and almost exact same position in Kawazu Gake. If anything it could be called a backwards kawazu or at the very least, an ura nage with the kawazu leg entwinement.
@noose357 its not even kosoto anything, kosoto is a minor outward reap or hook, this vid clearly shows an ouchi leg wrap(major inner) but the throw itself isnt a trip ,its a back arch like the suplexes. The closest thing in judo is an uranage in terms of throwng action.
@noose357 rubbish,it isnt even a related throw to ouchi gari. Its a type of suplex with leg entanglement.Ouchi is a trip,no matter the direction. This video doesnt show any trip, its a back arch throw with hips under.
