01x16 - The Tribe.

REID: Of all the Native American tribes, the Apache are most renowned for their tracking ability. It's said they can track a man or animal through any condition by noticing simply the slightest disturbance in the environment.

HOTCHNER: He's profiling the dirt.

REID: (to Blackwolf) I notice you don't carry a gun.

JOHN BLACKWOLF: Twenty-one feet.

REID: What?

JOHN BLACKWOLF: Ask Agent Hotchner there. He's the real gun hand.

HOTCHNER: Why do you say that?

JOHN BLACKWOLF: You carry two guns.

HOTCHNER: The maximum distance an attacker with a knife can close in the time it takes to react, draw your sidearm and fire is 21 feet.

JOHN BLACKWOLF: Inside 21 feet, I win. Outside 21, I have other options besides shooting a man.

REID: Like negotiating.

JOHN BLACKWOLF: Like running.

HOTCHNER: Why do you say I carry two guns?

JOHN BLACKWOLF: Your right instep print's heavier than your left. And since you don't appear to have a clubbed right foot ...

HOTCHNER: You can't tell that from my footprints. There's no perceptible difference between them.

JOHN BLACKWOLF: Your problem isn't with your prints. It's with your perception.

GIDEON: What do you see?

JOHN BLACKWOLF: There's a saying: once too much blood has been spilled on the same ground, that ground develops a thirst for it. This is all consistent with Native American warfare rituals, but it's not Apache. Whoever did this carried out the most brutal practices of the Apache. Navajo, Comanche, Pueblo. And Sioux.

JOHN BLACKWOLF: No one tribe ever did them all. Not like this. Real Indians would know that. This wasn't Indians. And if you want to figure out who did this, it might help to know there was a sixth person in the house.

HOTCHNER: Why do you say that?

JOHN BLACKWOLF: Female: 90..95 pounds, size 6 shoe, fallen arches. She was walking alone, when she was ambushed by two men.

HOTCHNER: We also believe there were at least three suspects.

JOHN BLACKWOLF: Three? Yeah. (He points to the area in front of him and behind him.) Two over here plus at least six over there. Because while these two carried this girl, struggling to their vehicle to the east, at least six others ran single file to hide their numbers from the west.

HOTCHNER: So you're saying that there were eight?

JOHN BLACKWOLF: At least.

  • aww hotch seeing u get pwnd is so hot :))

  • Everytime I see this scene I think of the movie..."Thunderheart". In fact, I think they stole the dialogue between Val Kilmer (FBI agent) and Graham Green (tribal policeman). It is almost identical.

Anybody else know what I am talking about???

  • hotch. lol

  • You learn so much from this show, epecially from Reid. Did you know that it only takes 11 pounds of pressure to strangle a person to death? Reid taught me that Season 1 episode 15. Don't see how it would be useful, but it's interesting.

  • BLACKWOLF should work with the BAU.

  • oh yeah! "maybe" next time Hotch ;p and does anyone think Gideon looks funny in that hat? XP

  • Hotch- you can't tell that from my footprints! Haha:) he always assumes he's right because he like always is! Lol;) love him:)

  • What is the name of the song?
