Imam Ahmed Saad is a well known scholar and reciter originally from Egypt who finished the memorisation of the Quran at the age of ten under the supervision of his late father who was a scholar as well. Imam Ahmed Saad graduated from Al-Azhar University in Egypt and has been engaged in Da`wa work for the last 16 years. He has Ijazah in the three recitations of Nafi`, `Asim and Hamzah in addition to Ijazahs in many Islamic texts and the Six Books of Hadith. He is also doing the Seven recitations of Ash-Shatibiyyah and he has one of the highest chains in the world in Hafs from `Asim.
Narrated Ibn 'Umar:
The Prophet observed the fast on the 10th of Muharram ('Ashura), and ordered (Muslims) to fast on that day, but when the fasting of the month of Ramadan was prescribed, the fasting of the 'Ashura' was abandoned. 'Abdullah did not use to fast on that day unless it coincided with his routine fasting by chance.
