Everyone here should google the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act which opened up the door for bush to gut the treasury illegally, funneling the money most likely to Israel. It is probably the main reason bush stole the first election, rather than "oil" which is the cracker jack answer.

Phil and Wendy Gramm are two republicans who, history will show, lead us into the economic crisis in which we are now enmeshed by authoring and getting passed with the republican congress the GRAMM-LEACH_BLILEY ACT, which was authored deliberately for illegal pres bush (now do you get why he stole the election?) gut billions out of the treasury to foreign banks. If republicans are terrorists, Gramm is Osama bin Laden.
