Rip them out of free games. Urban Terror, Cube 2 Saurbraten, Open Arena are good candidates. Or get them off of sites. A good site is; soundfxcenter (dot) com

And, or record real life sounds. Hit a hollow metal tube on a side walk, record it, and doctor it up in a sound program. (If you don't have money to buy an expensive program, then get audacity/w a plugin library. You'll have everything you need there.

Great video! I just got into lovin the hell out of sound design while taking a class on writing scores for film soundtracks. Next month I'm starting game sound design. Can't wait! My last production was for a short trailer called Cyber Dreams and I incorporated sound design into the animation by recording sounds at my work with my cellphones voice recorder. I have the same set of speakers (krk's) and use Logic Pro as well as Pro Tools. Great sound design advice!
