Alexandre Pogoretzky, in memoriam

When Alex Pogo was young, he's try to be artist-peinter, learned plastic-arts in Lausanne Beaux-Arts Academie and worked picturs arround 1947-1952. Finally, his mother exigence made cancel this activity and Alexandre insalled him like "Suisse life" insurance agent in Paris, until pension. Then, I meet him in Paris on 1989, in the Virgin presentation church (Constantinople exarchat), hi helped frequently me and my family. I shoot this sequence under "diploma" work, on 16mm visual anthropology, in Ecole pratique des Hautes études, Sorbonne, Paris, 1997. Alexandre Pogoretzky walk on russian-french cemetery Saint Genviève des Bois. Rare movie, Pogo in whole capacity of his memory, religious practice in honor of russian soldiers, from Gallipoli etc. His tomb is now at the same cemetery. Memoire éternelle à Alex Pogo (1926-2005).
