It's time to make history. The unprecedented demand to ride the most sought after Sportive in the world means that for the first time ever 2011 will provide the opportunity to conquer two of the most challenging and rewarding stages of the greatest show on earth - Le Tour de France. Will you choose the classic 109km Alpine adventure from Modane to Alpe d'Huez, with the mighty Col du Galibier in your path? Or maybe a soiree over some of the most beautiful roads in the Massif Central on a 208km fairytale from Issoire to St Flour? One, the other or both? Either way you'll need to prepare for a memorable day with each route containing hidden gems and 3,500m of ascending.

Entering the fifth year on the recon road, once again we leave no stone unturned to bring you an essential insight behind both routes. Take a virtual tour from start to finish, with ride host Michael Cotty, uncovering the delights and dangers that lie around the next hairpin, with a unique mix of on the bike commentary and Cyclefilm entertainment. Choose life. Choose your friends. Choose your route. Choose lining up on the road in July with 10,000 intrepid cyclists ready to take on the world. Choose the right preparation. Choose satisfaction. Choose 'Two Roads to Glory'. Choose to RIDE. Read about history or be part of it.

  • how far did you guys go that one guy was out of breath.

  • @TheAnimeCrave After cycling 100km including Galibier/Alpe d'Huez the day before, Mike (the rider) was wimping out on a measly 14% section of the Col du Perthus 115km into that day. Apologies, Mike's getting old! :>
