i saw this docomentary at school yesterday. seeing this really makes me appreciate living in a country where i can do basicly everything i want to. and of course i fell really sorry for the people who live there, and i wish i could help them..

i do not understand why american government and the rest of the free world is not rescuing the north korean people from this atrocity. i dont understand why the world is so silent about north korean people. and i do not know how to help them.

The American people don't know what's really going on, and shame on the American government for not playing a more active role in liberating the North Korean people. I have a feeling that sometimes their strategy is to simply let some of these dictators die off and then form a relationship with the new person in power.

Apartheid was nothing compared to the horrors of North Korea. If people across the world united in demanding the end of the Apartheid regime, why can't they do the same to North Korea?

The North Korea problem it is like if you are seeing a passengers plane doing strange maneuvers in the air that they are menacing to fall to the ground while the crew has gone mad and instead to drive the plane and attending people they are beating them, stealing their money and their food rations while constantly threatening to crash plane into a city overpopulated of innocent people if someone dares to attack them. You can do anything but wait and see.

Ich habe mal eine amerikanische Diplomarbeit darüber gelesen, leider finde ich sie nicht. Aber du kannst die englische Wikipedia (die deutsche liefert zu wenige Informationen) (gib "Yodok Concentration Camp" ein) verwenden, wenn dich die - fehlenden - Menschenrechte in diesen Camps interessieren. Die Schilderungen sind grauslich. Man wird ja nicht einfach getötet (kurz und schmerzlos), sondern lang gequält und verstümmelt.

You can always donate money LiNK (Liberty in North Korea) they help North Korean refugee's get out of China safely. I would bet that some of the people featured in this film had help from LiNK or a similar organization. LiNK also has other activities that you can do to help spread awareness of the human rights violations going on over there! I encourage you to check them out!
