I don't see the point of homework effecting our grades. If a student has a full understanding of the material, than that will be reflected in the tests, not the homework categories.

I hate homework because it is a waste of time, plus I have memory problems so it's hard to remember assignments. Without homework I think my grades would be slot better. I would rather study the material rather than spending 4 hours (ya...takes me that long) on homework and essays then after study for ANOTHER hour. HOMEWORK NEEDS TO BE BANNED! (or not required)

Homework is STUPID!! We spend 7 hours of our lives 5 days a week in school doing school work & then we come home, not to take a break, not to hang out with friends, but to do MORE school work!!! Just because my teachers dont have a life doesnt mean I dont.

I have read a variety of books about homework. (The Homework Myth by Alfie Kohn, Rethinking Homework by Cathy Vatterott, and The Case Against Homework by Nancy Kalish) There is no evidence supporting the idea that homework is helpful to students in any major way. As I tell my students, do not just believe me. Look it up for yourselves.

The universe we live in is fascinating. Science is the study of the universe we live in. If I tried to force my students to do a bunch of boring assignments, my students would not be inspired. If my students leave my class hating it, I have failed.

Subscribed... I teach science. I do not give homework. My students do quite well without homework. I teach them how to ask questions and think for themselves. I tell my students not to just believe what I say but to look it up for themselves. I have students that look into ideas and topics from class on their own time without me telling them to do so.
