@BrutusCass..Well said. I have already asked this lady to come forth with data that supports TVP theory of enough resources to promote more than just the western countries. I stated, there is essentially not enough to go around...which is the REAL reason we go to war, and invade other countries...is to secure resources. NEEDLESS to say...I never heard a response back.

Saying there is enough resources, VS actually enough resources for current/future population, are 2 very dif things of course

20 000 people die each day of starvation yet we have enough food for a population 12 times it size. but we don't have the money. this is one of the reasons i advocate tvp. to change

Thanks for the response. In regards to centralization = communism, that is just a logical fallacy. In system's engineering, centralized systems are used all the time and they are very much efficient and effective, and scientifically implemented around the world. It is not ispo facto communism, as is my central nervous system.

But I do agree with your emphasis on proactive volunteering and participation. Very true. Many of the zeitgeist members I met are voluntarists, but the emphasis is valid.

@luvUtube247 Resources are only scarce because of waste.

Picture this: Imagine the sheer amount of unrecycled rare earths contained in outdated computers, TVs, mobile phones, cd players etc rotting in landfills. Those resources aren't coming back without expending a great deal of effort and energy to reuse them. Yet industrial civilisation produces enough modern computers to sate the west and provide for poorer countries (in more a limited way).

These are RARE earths I'm talking about here...

I don't understand your point. You think TVP is similar to communism because resources are common? You think it is a dictatorship because someone programs a robot without your conscent? Do you have a say in the interest rate? Does your ''opinion'' count when programming the auto-pilot on an airplane? TVP does not have hierachy, money or scarcity... that is oposite to communism

A very good and somehow very british response. It´s probably the accent. the objections you state are mostly correct. The differences between RBE and communism are substantial but the original goal of a more egalitarian world is indeed the same. However, communism is not necesserily a bad thing. It has its merits, as does capitalism. As a system is implaced, errors or malfunctions will sneak into it, as failure is inherent to human nature (don´r link this with the nature- nurture discussion. The venus project is a total delusion of grandeur. You'd think maybe they'd at least be in favor of a gradual solution involving the use of tax dollars to lower the cost of living, but nope. This is all a popularity contest to them where they're too cool for politics, economics, and the most basic laws of cause and effect.

I mean, we can make kindergarten through 12th grade all paid for with tax dollars and government labor, so why not attempt to do it w/ grocery stores? It's a start at least
