this is tragic, we should get every single piece of trash and send it into space so our earth can be free and only use things that are recycable in society.

Well, alexmiddleton, when we started trashing our oceans, we thought that they were "bottomless". They turned out to be quite important and finite. I don't think we should take the same attitude towards the outer space around our planet, just because it seems to be a void. We should deal with our trash on our own - sending it to the outer space or Asia is not responsible or sustainable.

we keep all our plastic bags and give them back to the stores. but not many people would do the same thing..i try not to buy all the plastic containers. australia s working on banning plastic bags

The problem with recycling plastic bags is that, for the most part, they only have one or two recyclable lives before they have to be discarded. Unlike aluminum or glass or tin, each time plastic is recycled, its quality gets degraded, until it has to be disposed of. The only true solution is to use as little single-use plastics as possible.

@Soulfree2008 IT'S NOT THAT WE ARE THROWING IT IN THE OCEAN, BUT RATHER WE ARE NOT PROPERLY CONTAINING IT WHEN WE PUT IT OUT ON GARBAGE DAY! OR THROWING IT OUT OUR CAR WINDOW WHILE ON THE ROADS AND HIGHWAYS! OR PEOPLE THAT BUY SHIT AND UNWRAP IT ON THE WAY TO THE CAR AND LEAVE ALL THE GARBAGE FLOATING IN A PARKING LOT! NATURE THEN BLOWS IT AROUND AND INTO SEWERS, STREAMS AND WATERWAYS AND THEY ALL LEAD TO OUR OCEANS!!!!
