Lugano, Switzerland AT04

We are now in the best of all possible worlds, in this Italian section of Switzerland where we have the efficiency of the Swiss while enjoying the romance of Italy. The Italian essence brings us the worlds most popular cuisine, pastel, stucco buildings, musical language, relaxed attitudes, couture fashion, old-world charms...while we get the modern efficiency and courtesy of the clean Swiss. We enjoy a visit to the nearby tiny town of Gandria, which has the attractiveness of an old village, and a pedestrian zone in the center ideal for strolling. It is a picturesque spot with narrow lanes that climb the hill as gentle staircases rather than roadways. Here in Lugano on the shores of scenic Lake Lugano surrounded by mountains the two great cultures of Europe come together: the Latin and Germanic—and what a combination it is!
The view from Luganos waterfront is an unforgettable picture of shimmering blue water dotted with white sails, ruffled by the wakes of small craft that ply from shore to shore. It is a picturesque spot for a tasty meal on an outdoor terrace of the enticing restaurants that are clustered here. Various boat rides are also available here for your free time, if you wish to explore the other villages along the lake.

I was in Lugano last year. It was awesome. The nature is beautiful, people are nice, and atmosphere is great. I actually remember some places from this video xD

BUT, things aren't that cheap there... :)

But overall, Lugano is a great city... andIf you are thinking to visit Lugano, do it :P
