From what I can tell in interviews, Michael Bay isn't under impression that he's anything other than an action director; he only cares about entertaining people with action scenes, and I can't honestly say he's failed at that. As long as you go into a Michael Bay expecting mindless action and nothing more you won't be disapointed. Bay obviously measures success by box office receipts, not by movie reviews.

First movie was pretty damn good (I disagree with G1 people, I wasn't that "generation" get it?). Second movie was just lackluster compared to the 1st one honestly, lots of things they could've done better other than Mikaela's chest (which as a 15 yr old I will admit was very nice).
