BLÁZNOVA KRONIKA (The Jester's Tale, 1964) - Lenka

A historical adventure of Karel Zeman set to Moravia in 1625, at the beginning of the Thirty Years' War. Young peasant Petr is captured by a press-gang of duke Mansfeld, and forced to serve in his protestant army against the Austrian Emperor.

After a bloody battle, Petr and his friend, old soldier Matěj, are the only survivors left on the battlefield. While Matěj uses this opportunity to steal gold and money from Mansfeld's vacated camp, Petr's only dream is to return home as quick as possible. But then he encounters beautiful girl Lenka and things start to get complicated...

@bkra0 Hello, the movie has been already released on DVD with English subtitles. But this is a copy from TV. And the subtitles are mine. You will find some Czech sources, if you google "bláznova kronika dvd".(E. g. FILMOPOLIS DOT CZ). It costs 269 CZK, which is about 15-16 USD.
