Um let me explain. Ryu has a split Personality ( his cluttzy cutsey self and his stuck up asshole self) After he got hit by an avalanche of rocks his asshole self became a lot more dominant than his cutesy self. Thus the cutesy Ryu ask for Shuichi to make the Asshole Ryuichi peace with himself. So Shuichi takes Ryu to Tatsuha since he can communicate with spirits since he's monk. (Yuki and Tatsuha are the only ones who can see Ryu until tatsuha puts a talisman on both of them. Hope this helps.
