KEITH DONNELLY & TONY WILSON "My Little Town" Song and animation

Keith Donnelly (Keithdonnelly.com) has written hundreds of fantastic songs for adults and children and "My LIttle Town" comes from his excellent children's CD "Everybody wants to be a bear", (available from keithdonnelly.com)
He is a marvellous performer and a stalwart of the folk scene and I have had the pleasure of knowing him from school days and we have worked together with great success as a duo on several occasions as storytellers and singers in schools. I have recently been working with groups of small children on their local home environment and as part of that work I had the children draw sequential, graphic maps. The main product was that the children focussed on what they could see on their way to school and they would talk about their relatives' houses, and the relative distances and means of transport to and from their homes. The drawings and the song just seemed to fit together.
When I was doing my PGCE in 1988 I was shown this way of making a map and I have used it so many times in my own teaching career, so thanks to all of the staff at Trinity and all Saints College in Horsforth.
