The story begins with Karen, a single mother of 6 year old twins who falls in love with a colleague from work who she meets at their staff Christmas party. Jag, who has been secretly smitten with Karen for months, has been admiring her from afar. A few months after they began dating Jag was introduced to Karen's children and he told them he was a professional wrestler. A true testament to his always-joking personality. Karen is that fun-loving, girl next door with a big heart. Jag is the organizer and the planner. He is thoughtful and kind and wears his heart on his sleeve.

Their wedding story began on Thursday evening where friends and family gathered for their Sangeet. This Sikh celebration in honour of Jag's culture was something neither of them was really familiar with but they openly embraced everything about it and had such a great time. Jag's sister and family planned the entire event filled with food, dancing, music and ceremonial elements. On Saturday they were married at St. Andrew's church in Brampton followed by a beautiful reception at The Grand Victorian. Jag was presented with a ring that was worn by his late father along with a hand written note that said his dad would always be with him. Perhaps the moment that stood out to me the most was when Jag said his wedding vows to Cole and Reilly. I remember from our very first meeting with Karen and Jag that to them this was a wedding celebration of their new family and that including the kids was essential. Jag, as their new step dad, promised to love and care for them, just as he will always do for their mom. I loved that Jag and I had a secret visit with their dog Tucker planned at the boarding kennel and when Karen saw the clips of Tucker in the Same Day Edit she looked at Jag with the biggest smile. It seems he never ceases to surprise and amaze her. Their Same Day Edit really does capture THEIR story. I love that they chose us to capture and re-tell it for them. *A full post of photos coming soon!
