Demi: (looks at Nick and is speechless)

Nick: ( on top of the mans back)

??? : (trying to get him off) get off of me you little—

Nick: ugh (pushes him to the floor; holds him down)

???: (trying to break free)

Nick: (looks up at Demi; talks through his breathing) you okay?

Demi: (still in shock; manages to nod)

???: (kicks Nick in between his legs)

Nick: ah, (lets go of him; falls to the ground)

???: (gets up and runs to the window; opens it and looks at them and laughs; starts to climb down)

Demi: (thinks about running to get him but sees Nick lying on the ground in pain; goes to him) Nick, you okay?

Nick: (eyes are closed tight and cant talk)

Demi: oh, um. Okay, uh (walks up to him)

Nick: (face red)

Demi: just calm down

******After awhile*****

Nick: (finally able to sit up)

Demi; (sitting next to him on the ground; turns to him) what where you doing here?

Nick: (looks at her) I thought the restroom was here, when I got here, I heard noises. I well, got scared and hid in that room.

Demi: you got scared?

Nick: (nods)

Demi: (looks at the floor)

Nick: (raises and eyebrow) youre not going to laugh?

Demi: Im not that heartless (smiles) thanks though

Nick: for what?

Demi: tackling the guy, you know before he killed me

Nick: well it was not use anyways. He got away

Demi: (shrugs; hears the police and ambulance arriving) well, I guess were stuck here

Nick: elevator stuck?

Demi: (nods) yeah, second time this happened to me, only last time I was IN the elevator.

Nick: alone?

Demi: no, with Ashley, and she was a pain and mean.

Nick: (chuckles) dont you guys have stairs?

Demi: (puts her head back) yea, buttheyre broken too.

Nick: wow

Demi: what?

Nick: nothing, just (laughs) broken stairs, and a broken elevator.

Demi: (playfully pushes him) shut up (hears the elevator start; stands up) well, we should go now.

Nick: (stands up knocking the dirt of his pants) yea,

*********With David At the hospital************

Selena: (knocks on the door; opens it) hey

David: (sits up) hey

Selena: (sits on a chair next to his bed) I know we dont know each other much, but no one is really here so I thought, hey why dont I keep him company?

David: (smiles)well thats really nice of you

Selena: (smiles)

David: can I tell you something

Selena: sure anything

David: the only reason I got shot was because I got in front of someone, that someone was going to get shot and I kind of got in the way

Selena: who was that someone?

David: you.
