Serra - Sierra (trailer)

Um professor, o realizador, e dois grupos de alunos com câmaras, durante cinco dias, vão ao encontro das paisagens e habitantes da Serra de Arouca. É uma viagem profunda ao coração duma comunidade em extinção. Uma comunidade de emirantes de terceira geração com uma forte ligação à sua terra, aos seus origens. Antes emigravam para o Brasil e França. Agora os mais novos vão para a Suiça. Do avô, ao pai, ao neto, geração após geração, vê-se obrigada a abandonar o seu país à procura de melhores condições de vida. No entanto, todos querem voltar para terminar a vida na sua aldeia.

A teacher, ( the director), and two groups of students with cameras, meet the landscapes and inhabitants of the Sierra of Arouca over a period of five days. It is a journey into the heart of an endangered community. A community of third generation emigrants who feel strong ties to their land and origins. Before they would go to Brazil and France. Now, their children go to Switzerland. From grandfather to father to grandson, generation after generation is forced to leave their home in search of better living conditions. However, all of them, want to return, to end their lives in their village.
