Find the whole hyping of the US and California somewhat irritating. It's pretty well known that America haven't given a damn about energy efficiency in cars, houses, infrastructure etc.

The european nations are investing heavily in high speed trains, passive houses, efficient cars (due to high gas taxes), efficient lighting (banning light bulbs within three years), all kinds of environmental tech and high efficiency manufacturing and we have been doing it for thirty years. But no mention.

Obama ? ... anyway ... there is hardly ANY product or Service that is anything remotly close to beeing energy efficent , the US is NOT leading in anything ... maybe apart from military hardware ! The US is , at least , 15 years BEHIND Europe in that Field ... at least !
