i love the speck cases. i have the aluminum macbook and they work fantastic on it. as far as i can tell, the white macbook is a scratch magnet, and eventually gets dirty unless u lock it up in a quality hardshell, which takes away from the nice white look. my advice is to get a sleeve. that way, you have protection during transportation and while you aren't using the computer

I agree - the white ones scratch easily, but I did find this one added to the problem because it trapped dirt next to the case and sort of ground it in there. I now use a sleeve, and I have a unibody aluminum one now so it's a lot better.

Speck did the same to my iphone, the case was slightly too big and my iphone slid around a bit within the case causing hundreds of small chips on each of the four corners.

Did Speck give you a refund?

they offered a refund or to replace the speck case, but I was annoyed because it caused permanent damage to the case, shouldn't they offer to replace or repair? Anyway, I didn't pursue it, I just decided to get a different case and cut my losses.

I own this case and do agree. but its no way near as bad as that. it says to clean out aleast once a week i do that twice and also if i see any debre trapt. i love this case and feel as if people are blaming the company for something they have only caused them selves. if you had cleaned it as it stated on the packet then you would probably have a quarter of the damage you have now. nobody's fault that its dirty but your own and if i was working for speck this would be my argument against you lot

Same thing happened to me but uni body aluminum. the bottom and side of the base is all scratched. Like how the case looks but didn't protect. My friend has had the same mac the same amount of time and no case and his isn't scratched.

This is why I got the incase sleeve because plastic casing scratches the laptop. And it costs like 40$ in target but the mony is well worth it because it doesn't scratch the laptop and protect it really well against falls.
