Cindy Birdsong, Scherrie Payne, Susaye Greene, Lynda Laurence & Freddi Poole...all Former Ladies of the Supremes (FLOS) celebrated their 25th Anniversary at the Music Box in Hollywood. It was a memorable evening laced with great music, magic and wonderful moments. It was an evening that won't be forgotten! The intro song is a re-recording of 'Stoned Love' featuring the vocal talents of Jean Terrell, Scherrie Payne & Lynda Laurence.

  • Scherrie & Lynda has done a great job of keeping the Supremes name current...they even have a hit dance single,"Sisters United". Freddi Poole is not a sanctioned Motown Supreme but she has done her best to make the group vibrant. Jean Terrell & Mary Wilson are pursueing solo careers - they don't want to be Supremes so give the FLOS a break - they are continuing the Supremes tradition for a new generation.

  • Mary Wilson isn't there :'(

  • Unfortunately, Mary Wilson, Jean Terrell & Diana Ross were no shows but all sent messages. Florence Ballard's daughters accepted her award.

  • Besides Miss Birdsong, have the other ladies ever had a hit?

  • Scherrie Payne was a member of Glass House and had a minor hit with 'Crumbs Off the Table' as a soloist, she had a huge dancefloor hit with 'One Night Only' Lynda Laurence sung with stars like Stevie Wonder and dueted with Nilsson on 'Just One Look'. Susaye Greene co-wrote songs for Denise Williams and Michael Jackson and has several critically acclaimed solo cds. Currently, the FLOS has a new cd out called 'The Dreamgirls Project' and a dance single, 'Sisters United' was recently released.

  • @uppityhomo Thank you

  • @coolsweetgroovy Well-played.

  • Why Freddi Poole is not an international superstar is beyond me. This woman has got it goin' on!

  • @FrednSF Diane, Mary, and Jean were there you just have to look hard over Freddi Poole's hair

  • Cindy Birdsong is the queen supreme here. Scherrie Payne is very talented. But why do they sings songs like any group and not with the class and style of the Surpemes? The songs are often too fast and they belt them out like they are all trying to be Aretha!

  • ccol vid

  • @KittyPooKaBoomBoom Barbara Martin is an original Supremes as well

  • Well the reason why Jean, Diana and Mary wasn't there was because they did not want to be there. I was there that night and it was magical. Freddi, for who she is was amazing and looked great. All of the ladies were so nice and took pictures with us and signed autographs. Linda rocks. She emailed me when I was evacutated for Katrina. What a nice group!

  • Don't know who Freddi Poole is....but Jean Terrell, and Susaye Green, and Scherrie Payne, Lynda Laurence, along with Mary Wilson brought some fantastic music in the 70s--"Up The Ladder" "Stoned Love" "Floy Joy" "I'm You're Driving Wheel" and the best of all with that intro "I'm Going to Let my Heart do The Walking"!
