@Sidewinder5O4 As a United States Army Officer who lays gladly puts his life on the line everyday, theres no greater confict within me, how do i feel about about my country, and how does my country, feel about me? this has me crying as we speak

Its fitting to give some of the best flyers in this war some of the best planes in this war. The P-51 Mustang and the Tuskegee Airman are a fitting combination.

@NobleKorhedron In a plane with a conventional engine layout, when you stall(lose airspeed to the point of falling, wings can't generate lift without speed), your engine will drag the nose of the plane down, you will gain some speed, and if you were flying high enough, you will be able to recover from the spin. The cobra, however, had its engine placed in the middle of the aircraft, so if you stalled, the plane would spin uncontrollably.Getting out of this required lots of skill.

@NobleKorhedron Its very dangerous to not experienced pilots, easy to enter tail spins and hard to get out of. Those planes killed a lot of people in the process of learning.

@DrHavoc1: Then I'm surprised it wasn't used more in the West. What was wrong? Was it vulnerable to the FW-190?
this is my favorite part of this film. That speech still brings me to tears...
