Quite a few subscribers have asked how to set up a Carabiner Belt Kit. We cover the way that I carry mine as well as the equipment on it. Remember that this is a personal kit.. so you may carry more or less than I do.

We also cover how to start a fire with a fire steel if you lose the use of one hand.. Quick and easy instruction that you should practice until you master it!

  • ... in all the tings you have on your carabiner ... you dont have some keys haha

  • @survivalyongsters Don't really need keys in the bush :)

  • Great vid dave - i've never considered how i'd manage 1 handed, will be practicing this.

Do you think your small hacksaw blade would throw a spark? You could also put a small piece of duct tape over the blade - stop it catching your trousers or tarp. Would also give you a (small) piece of tape.

  • @s1aitken

Yes.. small hacksaw blades can be used with Ferro rods. The duct tape is a good idea :)

  • Just one problem, wouldn't TSA take the knife?????????

  • @SNUZZLETHAT

Why would TSA be around me? I don't fly (for the simple reason that I can't take my kit) That tells you how strongly I believe in having my kit along!!
