वारली चित्रकलेत आदिवासींचे दैवते, निसर्गाची असलेले त्यांचे नाते, त्यांचे दैनंदिन जीवन, त्यांचे सणवार तसेच पुराणकाळातील कथा आढळतात. आदिवासी समाज या कलेतून स्वतःचे जीवन व्यक्त करत असतो. म्हणूनच वारली चित्रकला हि लिहिली जाते. ती रंगविली जात नाही किंवा रेखाटली जात नाही. वारली चित्र म्हणजे आदिवासीच्या सर्व चांगल्या-वाईट अनुभवांची पोथी होय. आदिवासींच्या सूक्ष्म निरीक्षणातून निर्माण झालेली हि एक सुंदर चित्रलिपी आहे.
