kid - Pretenders cover by Sue, Craig, Kevin & Lar

This recording is 20 years old and only 1 of 3 recordings I still have with Sue Crow singing on it. We used to practice in my basement and record on an old GE Boom Box that I used to have just to see how we were doing on certain songs. I've been going through all my old recordings and selecting a few for You Tube archiving. Sorry the quality isn't the greatest but this is transfered from a 20 year old cassette tape...and we were just learning the song. Please see the song "Chain Gang" for another Sue Crow song. @GenaralHartman Thanks General! Yes it does sound a bit like the 50's with the low guitar leads... Its an old song from a girl that came from Ohio...She formed the Pretenders and had quite a few hits. Thanks!!!!

oh, and Chrissie Hynde is an old Ohio girl....I believe she was born around Akron Ohio and went to Kent State Univ... but didn't "make it" until she moved to England.....

Of course now Ohio Embraces her ... HA! Ain't that the way it always is...

@classican Thanks Pete. I think if you give a "thumbs up" it register 5 stars, but not sure. I agree, Sue had a great voice for this type of music. It was a short lived version of the band. All I remember is she had a baby and left the band and disappeared from it all. I only have one other recording with her on it,"Different Drum", the old Mike Nesmith tune. I think Linda Ronstadt had the most famous version. The old Boom Box used to do a pretty fair recording...HA
