  • What city is that ?

  • @eaglehockey16: It's in Sunnyvale, very close to the border with Santa Clara.

  • Do they still have the baby bullet train, that only has the baby bullet car in the front, but they use the original silver cars as the passenger cars?

  • @dancena2: You mean a mixed consist? I haven't seen one, and I haven't heard of anyone seeing one recently.

  • lol im sorry but those bombardier cars are sexy as hell and make those other Nipponsharyo cars look like ugly moving tin cans

  • I agree, the Bombardier cars are way sexier. You can find them not only on CalTrain but Metrolink (which I ride), GO Transit, Sounder, ACE and Coaster systems. There's probably one or two more I'm not aware of that use them.

  • @cchan006 actually ive seen those combos before, and theres ususally one per day now. Ive also seen the F40PHs pulling the bombardier cars

  • Thanks @yardlet6 that's true. Lines with tighter operating envelopes like the Long Island Railroad, New Jersey Transit, Metro North or Chicago's Metra use more compact cars like Bombardier's "Multi-level" car or the like.

  • @MrRoddygee Except for New York area commuter lines. Low clearances.

  • Orlando's Sunrail, Miami's Tri-rail, Salt Lake City's FrontRunner, Minneapolis Northstar, Montreal's AMT, etc. etc. They're everywhere. Interestingly, the original design was built by a publicly funded effort to supply Toronto's GO Transit system. They've since been purchased and improved by Bombardier and sold all over the continent.

  • mp36ph: you better catch up!!!

f40ph: oh wait WAIT FOR MEEEEEEEE !!!!! :(

  • @CreoleCW Oh! there's the west coast express!(Canadian train).

  • US makes so many remakes of the go train !!!

  • that is just like Toronto GO station, same cars but they have the bigger locos MP40PH-3Cs

  • i wish they were electrified and as far as i know they are planning to very soon.
