One of my favorite movies of the late 60's, and Alan Arkin should have won the Oscar for Best Actor, and Chuck McCann should have won for Best Supporting Actor.

@loganplace5296 ホントＤＶＤ化されていないのが残念でなりません。数年前ＣＳ放­送で流れていたのを録画して今も持っています。日曜洋画劇場で放­送された時はテレビ用に編集されていて、オリジナルを見たとき日­曜洋画劇場で見たのとは違っていたので少し驚きました。７７年に­は、日曜洋画劇場では他にも障害者を描いた、「まごころを君に」­が放送されていました。原題は「チャーリー」、原作はダニエル・­キースの「アルジャーノンに花束を」です。こちらはクリフ・ロバ­ートソン主演で彼がアカデミー賞を受賞しています。これも必見で­す。

@hiroyuki1403 私も77年の日曜洋画劇場でこの映画を見ました。小学2年の頃、­生まれて初めて映画で泣きました。それ以降ずっと忘れられなくて­、大人になりイギリス滞在中、偶然テレビでこの映画を見ましたが­題名がわからず困っていました。それからまた10年後インターネ­ットの映画サイトでこの映画について質問したところ、ようやく題­名が分かりVHSを購入しました。

幼いころに見てずっと忘れられなかった作品です。

DVD化されていないのが残念。

THIS isn't THAT Mr. Singer I had imagined. In my imagination he was MUCH more handsome with long eyelashes, skinny, grey sympathetic eyes.. More introverted and gentleman-like..

とても悲しい映画でした。

アメリカ映画としてはめずらしいと思います。

二人の聾唖の夫婦を描いた、邦画「名もなく貧しく美しく」があり­ますが、

こちらはもっと救われないひとりぼっちの聾唖者の孤独を描いた作­品です。

７７年に日曜洋画劇場で放送されましたが、今でも心に強く残る作­品です。
