Today's Data centres are preparing for major transformations to support i/o consolidation, higher throughput and less network complexity. New data centre standards have evolved to support these requirements whilst maintaining high availability, low latency and simplicity within the data centre network infrastructure. This session will briefly look at some of the key evolving networking standards, why they are important, and how they are implemented in Cisco technologies:
• 40G and 100G Ethernet
• Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE)
• Data Center Bridging (DCB)
• Transparent Interconnection of Lots of Links (TRILL)
