Pres. Eisenhower and CIA were supporting Tibet resistance against Chinese occupation with arms since the 1950's but the Nixon administration abandoned the Tibetans to their fate in 1974 when US corporations wanted to tap communist China's market. US is only interested in profits, not the freedom of people. They only use the propaganda line of freedom and democracy to justify invading other countries when it suits their own selfish interests - control of resources and political influence.
