Slang Chickens - first show ever! May 30, 2008

Film footage of the first Slang Chickens show ever! May 30, 2008 at the Vermont House in Los Angeles, CA. This is not the best film footage of the Chickens but at least you can hear them (you can see Evan's head bobbing up and down - kind of like a chicken).

I went to this show not knowing what to expect. I was hoping they wouldn't suck and to my pleasure, they didn't.

This band is a mix of country, punk and blues. They blend these different music styles together very well and have created a great "down south" sound. I don't think any of these boys are from the south but I am an ol' southern belle. I hearby declare Slang Chickens to be "honorary southerners."
