this song is good (on the album) because of all the unique details in the music but when playing this live you change the details like the pitch, definitely the phrasing of the lyrics, or anything else in the song, you should be sure it works because it will ruin it. improvising is not as important in pop, unlike jazz or anything else more musical, in a theory sense.
