omg, this argument is silly, I don't even know why we bother having it. It makes a lot of difference if you understand the words, since you can make meaning out of the sounds. I, for one, can't - so it just sounds weird to me.
The only difference is that i understand the words.
Just because you don't understand the words doesn't mean that the person sounds completely different. I don't think that all Italian sounds like a bouncing piano key like family guy portrays it as, for instance.
I have quite a lot of Swedish friends, just so you'd know, and to a foreign it sounds a lot like this. Of course the swdish chef is somewhat of a parody and it sounds more extreme than it does in reality, but to us - non swedish speaking, it sounds that way. if you're swedish, you're obviously not gonna hear it the way we do...
Not quite.... search for someone speaking Swedish. Sounds nothing like this. Saying that the Swedish Chef talks like a swede is like saying Mario talks like an Italian.
