Je suis un homme du Syndrome XXY.

@complexbiology This is a kind of coming-of-age movie and finding your identity. Not a documentary about a specific kind of gender dysphoria.

Just because most medical texts only report that XXY affects males, how all are born is important, there is variation in most conditons. So please stop being so defensive about Klinefelters, you can end up putting down alot of people who are affected by 47XXY and they have the same condition you do.

XXY IS a a beautiful film. The Title had nothing to do with the Character's condition. So please do not assume that XXY was meant to explain the Character Alex condition. XXY why was used because the writer's mother had a XXY fetus that she had been conned into aborting. When the writer heard that story from her mother, she felt it was important. Now their are XXY females, not just because they chose to reassign as females, some are infact born phenotype females rather then male.
muchas gracias
for doing something
anything to make aware intersexness
and xxy happens to be what i am
so it was a good portrayal of possibilities for xxys and for intersex people and for many transgender people
we are all people but we are not the same!

I'm sorry but its not as simple as that. I'm XXY but my gender is female. I've met XXY people who are all different in their physical make-up and identity, so please don't try and write our existence out, thanks!
