Boehner Delivers Floor Speech on Need for Affordable & Accessible Health Care in America

House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) delivered the following remarks on health care today on how the Democrats emerging plan will hurt middle-class families by increasing taxes, raising health care costs, and rationing care. He also discussed the Republicans better solutions to give Americans access to high-quality health care and ensure sure that health care decisions are made by patients and doctors, not government bureaucrats.

Sure they will tell you what they have, but when the President called them on it (GOP RETREAT) they have nothing to say, except show 29 pages of a budget outline. All politicians have an agenda. The GOP has had an alternative health care plan for several months now. They also had alternative plans to the stimulus, omnibus, cap and tax and the massive budget. A bill full of interference w/ your personal choice, fraught w/ fines & punishments for non participation, puts a commiczar between you & access to any health care opts + @ min. dbles yr cost..
