United Nations, New York, 28 October 2009 - The General Assembly met today to discuss the necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States against Cuba, and, as it has for the past eighteen years, adopted a similarly titled resolution.
For its discussion, the Assembly had before it the Secretary-General's report on the Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba (A/64/97), which contains replies of 122 Governments and 25 United Nations bodies, received as at 30 July 2009, following the request of the Secretary-General for information on that matter.

You just cannot have it both ways. If you support these U.N. resolutions than u must support that all political prisorers in Cuba must be released. Addditionally, democratic elections must be allowed in Cuba. That means that the present Dinasty cannot continue to put people in jails for organizing. The persecution and extermination of Cuban citizens/disidents since 1959 is no secret and started by killing members of the same revolutionary army which rejected Fidel's brand ofsocialism.

"The United States like all soveriegn states, to conduct it's economic relationships with another country as it sees fit" haha... how ironic that a country that has dictated and invaded countries in the past how countries to how should run their economies and their relationships with other countries says this. The embargo against Cuba should go, the US for once should listen to the rest of the world instead of telling the rest of us what to do.
