For me the best contra is the third but between the newest contra's games, rebird & hardcorps (XBLA/PSN) wich is better?

@StrawberryGuy86 its challenging but nightmare is insane. if there was a super bomb and u used it on nightmare mode, blue rings would fly everywhere

@JosibiusZ contra3 has better value cuz its longer (and generaly better) but contra rebirth is easier (but more expensive). my first contra game was contra3. if u do get contra 3 it helps playin it wiv a m8.

Great review. I'd give about a 9/10 myself, Contra III is still my favorite but this is a great entry in the series. As somebody who started playing games in the middle of the NES era I appreciate games that make me want to throw the controller in frustration. This game does that. I fully expect younger players to hate on it just like they did Mega Man 9, but personally I love these throwback games and hope we see more. Castlevania Rebirth possibly?

Unlimited continues was a very smart move for Konami! Especially since the Contra series is so freaking hard!!
