There are worse ones in the uk. They ask you to phone them back and when you do it's a fake premium rate service that charges £300 pounds a minute, then they close their bank account the very next day and run off with like the equivalent of 3 million dollars of old peoples cash.
I hope u used caller ID blocking.. I have gotten calls like that saying my account has been locked and to call the number they left..I called the bank and they said there was nothing wrong with my accounts...I gave em the return call number the number was blocked by the provider phone company

i guess the machine calls to a list of successive numbers like:
555-5551111
555-5551112
555-5551113 ....etc
even if the numbers are not activated.

Fortunately scammers are not that smart (yet) to do a scam like that in the country I live... pretty funny!!!

Does somebody want to transfer millions of dollars into your account?
Does someone want you pay you to cash cheques and send them the money?
Met a new friend/penpal on a friendship/dating site who's asking you for money?
Has a dying person contacted you wanting your help to give his money to charity?
Have you sold an item and are asked to accept a payment larger than the item amount?
IT'S A SCAM!
Don't fall for common scams like this
fight them!
ALL SPAM EMAILS = SCAM!!!
