Shell Canyon is on the western edge of the Bighorns, on Highway 14. For all my posted videos, I play flutes that I've made and put the music to my photography in a series of 1-minute vignettes.

  • I grew up there...beautiful video and fabulous flute!

  • Wow - what a place to grow up in! I spent time there after a Labor Day, so there was NObody around, basically. Lots to explore, there! Glad you enjoyed it!

  • and the flute!

  • oops - responded to this in lower response. The Native flute is a very medicinal instrument for me (and many others) and fits in so perfectly with that raw beauty there. Having made all the flutes I play and record with, I can truly feel 'one' with 'em.

  • this is just one of many beautiful places in Wyoming. I am fortunate enough to have grown up here and now have the oppertunity to raise my children here. God loves Wyoming! This is where he comes for vacation! Love the pictures and the flute music adds to the beauty

  • Photography was my first artistic passion, and then the Native American flute 'found' me and I started to make my own. Now I can put them all together...kind of like artistic synergy, creating something 'more' than the pieces. So stay tuned for more of these in longer versions...and edited better! Ha!

  • Love the photos! Sooz

  • Humble thanks...I went there after the tourists were gone (which was VERY nice, indeed!), but didn't stop in Shell - oh well. Did stay in the metropolis of Greybull, though!

  • That whole area is so gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! I like the general store in Shell. There used to be displays of arrowheads in there. It was more like a museum than a store. Love walking around finding all kinds of fossils!
