Why obviously it's a parable of reincarnation. After the torments and terrors of an uncertain life where the very earth seems to crumble beneath you, you plummet into the darkness, where eventually your spiritual essence rises and is reborn, perhaps as a flower, a rodent, or a majestic moose.

When I watched this segment just now, I instantly got nostalgic goosebumps.

I'm 17. But I remembered alot from this show. I watched it on Cartoon Network when I was around 5 or 6. I especially remembered playing the pinball machine at around that time too. :)

I'm looking for the street sweeper with the garbage can on wheels -- he looks at the camera + wiggles his moustache -- I think he hangs a sign on the can that says "The End." Where can I see a clip that has that in it???

Will anyone ever realize that this clip is just from a cartoon show? Tune in next time for:

"Hey, I can Pee Outside in the Dark"

    OR

"If They Go Either Way, They're Usually....."

Just to let everyone know, this is the 1962 version when the show moved to NBC as THE BULLWINKLE SHOW. The animation was done originally for the 1959 ROCK AND HIS FRIENDS on ABC. There was a more melodramatic piece that was a variation of the original ROCKY theme song.

There is a strong message here, after running , scared shitless while the world is ending, moose & squirrel fall thousands of feet face first to their deaths, then instantly (it seems) reborn and rising from the ashes..Moose looks sad at first, but squirrel has done this before and knows the way, this brings joy to moose. They sprout up along with the flowers..Squirrel is ready for action while moose expression is blank (meaning an open book) clean slate? Could be interpeted as spritual.

@ab25742 You're not alone. I don't know why, but I got scared shitless by this when I was a kid.

There was this one sequence where Bullwinkle was conducting an offscreen orchestra. He taps his baton and they go silent. He motions his arms and the band plays a little tune (which I remember very fondly) and this big neon sign displaying the show's name flashes as Bullwinkle grins. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, I'm trying to find that particular piece of music from that specific part. Help?
