Amway likes to tell you about their product sales, but the only way for you to make money is through "distribution" or more accurately, recruitment.
Recruiting more people into your "downline", getting them to shell out more and more money for instructional tapes and books, and encouraging them to buy as many Amway products as possible (Thereby getting you a small bonus on what they buy) are the only ways to avoid losing money.
It's a predatory scheme that should have been shut down long ago.

I'm sorry that you have experienced so much deception, but I can assure you that there are business teams that honor individuality and do not force IBOs to buy anything. It is suggested to buy from yourself so that you are familiar with the products you sell, but it is not required. Also, out of 300 million people in America, less than 10% are in Amway. That means a lot more sales go into making Artistry a prestige cosmetic brand than just people buying from themselves.
