Behind the wheel home edition :)
All sounds come from only one EMAX II sampler that has just 3 MB Ram !!!
Also I used the emax own sequencer with "Supermode map" I've created the song in Steinberg Cubase and uploaded through the midi in the emax sequencer.

  • Hey guy...very good, I love it! :)

  • @perrysafer That's nonsense, the used quit a lot Preset Sounds they just layered 2-5 of them.I use this technic a lot to build their Sounds from CTA,SGR.Most of their P.Sounds were From the Emulator 1-2,DX7,DX1,PPG Wave, and the used to sample a lot of Toy Keyboards.

  • @creationmachine

Hi mate. Yes I own an Emax 2. I honestly think it is the best sampler ever made for ease of use and sound quality bar the Emulator 3 that cost far more. I wouldn't sell or be without my Emax 2 for a second.

But ive never used the sequencer on it before as like you say its terrible lol.

Disagree re the SQ80. Im an MPC60 fan when it comes to hardware sequencers.

    Great vid!

  • @roncstelep DM is/was not a "preset" band. They used the Emu gear so they didn't have to carry around tons of old equipment. If an Emax burned out... 2 minutes to replace it and load data. A lot of sound design and programming goes into their music. They are pretty close to Kraftwork in that respect. The Emax I & II were top notch samplers. They were cheap ($3000) and sounded great when you started stretching samples across the key map.

  • @kolakube123 The Emax II has a crappy 16 track sequencer. It was mainly for dumping songs tracks into. Back then the best workstation synth was a Ensoniq SQ80. The Emax II is an awesome sampler though.

  • @roncstelep They used the hell out of Emu Emulators & Emax's... You won't find 90% of their sounds cause Alan pretty much made them all using the Emu boards. They hardly ever used factory presets...

  • Realy good!

  • Számomra a legizgalmasabb 1:47 és 2:17 között a dal :-) ! Mintha unnád kissé?

    Amúgy + ügyes......

  • Hi Aros.

In the description you say you uploaded from cubase via the midi in.

    Can you elaborate? Interesting.

  • not a even hard synths new or old. software is not equal to hardware even tough they still include software built inn right on them see (oasis)
