One of our pastors at church left medical school and began practicing medicine. After a while, he went to Master's College because he realized he was dealing with more spiritual bankruptcy than physical illness. The lack of spirituality was the root of most of the problems he saw as a doctor. He now does both. He pastors our church and practices medicine full time.

I believe this video to be very irresponsible -- why is medicine so far behind on testing of mental illnesses -- because of narrow thinking that if we can't tangibly test for it -- it doesn't exist or it's demonic. thanks to the Fall we are genetically getting more and more chaotic since nothing is 100% and only strength in Christ Jesus will help us through our environmental struggle with our genetics. If mental illness doesn't exist then why do the myriad of drugs used to help actually work?

are they perfect - no - but, at times, the only thing that can bridge the gap between insanity and a semblance of sanity so that they may Know Christ !!! You show the same ignorance as did the Elevation church w/the family w/a child who had cerebral palsy -shame on you for your lack of compassion and investigation. no medical area is perfect -- that is why they call it PRACTICE -- but they actually know more about the brain than they do they heart -- and it seems your heart needs some work

Yes, there are misdiagnosed ppl -- but that happens in all areas of medicine. The diagnosis and treatment of mental illness is not necessarily as exacting as strep throat -- but they are getting closer to dx bipolar disorder & schizophrenia with MRI's -- and schizophrenia can be diagnosed post-mortem. THE CHURCH needs to step out of the dark ages and repent -- only with Love and Compassion can we help those who are lost to figure out if it is clinical or spiritual.

@ddrninjette So why criticize religion? let it be. Just be an atheist and live life and ignore Christians. Nothing matters anyway right? Why waste time posting on here? Todd Friel is not going to take over the world nor does he want to sheesh. Jwissick acts like Christianity is super atrocious and absolutely evil and MUST BE STOPPED 8gasp* but here we have you admit religion works for people. So let it go. You have a right in this country to reject God and people an take meds and ignore God.
