!!!UPDATE!!! this also works with ps2 games for sure i have tested it myself!!!!

Before you do anything you must follow this guide up until 5:02 and dissassemble your ps3 (this WILL void your warrenty)it is actually a very simple process though and took me only ten minutes

note that after you get to that point in the video you must remove ONLY the TOP metal cover on the bluray drive so yours looks like mine
just us this guide to take the metal cover off DO NOT remove the motherboard

you may also have to remove a few screws on the acutal blu ray drive to lift the top half up

then with the metal cover OFF put the bluray drive back in the ps3 and connect it

you can also slide the front cover back on the main cover of the ps3 and attach the card reader so when you are not playing backups your ps3 will look and be normal

First what you do is take put a ps1 ORIGINAL disc in and wait for a few minutes for it to stop spinning (thats why these movies are in three parts) then you take the cover off of the ps3 and remove the white circular piece that holds the disc in place and lift the top half of the bluray drive off careful to grab the disc so it doesn't get scrachted then put your burnt disc directly on the drive and clip the circle piece there and load the game. It may make some louder than usual noises but that is only because the cover is off. Once the ORIGINAL ps1 game has passed the security check you can switch the game as many times as you want and it will not know. You can also do this while it is spinning, but i do NOT reccomend this because you could easily damage something. To return the system to normal quickly push the eject button and imediatly once the disc stops spinning remove the white circle clip. Remove your disc and put the top half of the bluray drive cover back on and then put the ps3 cover back on

NOTE THAT THIS ALSO WORKS WITH PS2 BACKUPS AND SOME PS1/PS2 HOMEBREW. I GOT THE "IT MIGHT BE NES" NES EMULATOR FOR PS1 TO RUN USING THIS TRICK PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY HOMEBREW SUCCESS USING THIS METHOD

Yo is my old account. I just wanted to let you know this does work with PS2 games. And this PS3 in the video STILL works I traded it to my buddy he uses it daily. Just make sure that you WAIT FOR THE ORIGINAL DISC TO STOP SPINNING BEFORE YOU SWAP. It takes about 15 minutes. I have used OG PS1 games to load Burnt PS2 games and vice versa. once the disc in the PS3 passes the first check you can change the disc as many times as you want without needing another OG disc until you turn it off.
